Yes, the books of NCERT and HC Verma are highly recommended for MHT CET Engineering 2024 preparation. NCERT books provide a good foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and cover all the basic concepts that are required to be prepared for the exam.

Admission to the esteemed College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) in Kerala is normally determined by KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) scores rather than the MHT CET. However as cutoff scores for competitive branches like Computer Science Engineering are usually higher your score of 119 might not be sufficient for top branches in prestigious institutions if you're using the MHT CET as an alternative entrance exam for another state university.
To improve your chances of passing the CET you should strive for a higher position in KEAM.

Having a percentile of 76 in MHT CET will give you admission opportunities in Maharashtra mid-tier engineering colleges to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science. Though the cutoffs change year-after-year, here are certain colleges you might look into :-

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune - Lower branches may come into play should the cutoff remain marginally high for CSE.
MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune - Pretty good chances for branches that have Computer Science in them.

Yes, the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) offers a reservation for children of Defense Service Personnel, commonly referred to as the "Defense Quota. This reservation allocates 5% of an institution's total approved intake, subject to a maximum of 5 seats per institution, for eligible candidates. Don't forget to apply under the Defense Quota for the MHT MCA CET, you have to indicate your eligibility in the online application form.

Please do visit the official website for the same.

After scoring 56% in MHT CET PCM and 86% in the 12th board exam, it is possible that you will get admission in some B.Tech colleges, especially in not so popular branches. Government colleges often have higher cutoffs. So you can check online colleges which have low cut off. If  you belong from specific quota (SC/ST), you have chance to get admission in government college.
