IIS is in Rajasthan and is in Jaipur and is not an old and known name for Media Placements. This is one observation. When it comes to the placements as stated by the institution - IIS- itself we have the data available on their website: https://iisuniv.ac.in/ and that is not motivating. There are internships mentioned but there is not a big impressive list of employers making a beeline. It is also clarified that there are fewer Jobs to offer through Campus Placements in Media because there are no Mass Hirings like IT or Mechanical Engineering.
The profiles that are offered to any student who goes to the media job providers are like the following:
Reporter, Tv Anchor, Editor, Content Writer, Public Relations Officer, Content Editor, Video Editor, Cameraman, Screen Writer or Copy Writer, Event Manager Stage Anchor, Advertising and graphic Designer etc.

Amrita University has a good name for its institutions as well as for its innovative partnership with various stakeholders of education.
There is a good list of names who have taken the AU Kids to work with them.
The special things is that in South India, regional Tv Channels and Print Media is quite vast and there are enough jobs for skilled and talented people.

This list does not have Media Houses and That is why I shall not able to pronounce upon a judgement on the status of real placements. The observation from the filed and media houses is that the placements need improvements. Being a regional group of institutions, there are certain limitations, BUT for a good student there is no limitation and jobs shall come their way as college shall certainly approach the employers for media profiles. Annex or other colleges that offer a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism aim at getting the students placed as professionals in the media industry. There are various profiles for which the media houses approach the colleges or the college gets them for campus placements.
The profile that are most suitable and are offered to the Master's degree holders of Annex and other institutions are:
1. Journalist or Reporter with a Print Media-Newspaper or Managing
2. Electronic Media-News Reader, TV Reporter
3. Having Technical Skills then Editor
4. Editor of a Newspaper or Any other publication depending on the Language Skills of the Candidate.

If you are pursuing MJMC course Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, then I would like to mention certain points. I don't recommend you to do this type of course from Open University. Because, while doing MJMC course from distance learning, you will lack in some core technical skills that you need to have. You will lack in experiences of real time projects that students of regular students gets. Since, you are wishing to do master course from an Open University, I want to suggest you to go for some reputed University i.e., IGNOU. The demand and reputation of IGNOU is much higher than this Tandon Open University. I hope that you are thinking to do some job in this field, which is a really good for correspondence students. Spend some time to gain some extra beneficial and relevant certificates that gives you some extra advantage while appearing in the interviews.
