For B.Tech: Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (also known as EAPCET) is required for the convener quota. Management quota admissions are also available based on Class 12 merit.

Accepted Exams -AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test), CBSE 12th, or BIEAP scores are accepted.

Age Limit Should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the admission year.

The highest package offered at MJR College of Engineering and Technology is reported to be up to INR 12 LPA according to some sources. However, the most recent detailed placement data suggests the highest package is about INR 10 LPA with an average package around INR 4.5 to 5 LPA. The AP EAPCET (formerly Andhra Pradesh EAMCET) 2025 results were declared on June 8, 2025. These results are used for admission into engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh, including MJR College. Counseling and seat allotment follow shortly after the result announcement.

The teachers at MJR College are helpful. Many of them have taught before and can help students with their questions. Some students, on the other hand, think that the teaching is mostly based on the syllabus and doesn't give them enough exposure to the real world. The quality of the faculty varies from department to department.

• Lateral Entry: Diploma holders can join directly in the second year through the Andhra Pradesh ECET entrance exam and subsequent counseling.

There aren't many extracurricular activities at the college. There are very few active student clubs, but the college does put on events, cultural programs, and technical fests from time to time. Students have said that the main focus is on academics and that it would be helpful to have more support for sports, arts, and clubs.
