Monash University

For admission into the Master of Information Technology course, students are required to meet the following Monash University requirements:

• Entry Level 1: An Australian Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), necessarily in IT, with at least 60% average
• Entry Level 2: An Australian Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a cognate or major in IT including Computing, Computer Science, or a Technical Information Technology field, with completed studies in Java and Python programming, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Networks, and Databases with minimum 60% average

Students are also required to meet the English language requirements in order to take admission to Master of Information Technology. The minimum scores required in English language tests are given below:

Monash University application fee for international students is AUD 125 (7.52K). While applying, students are required to attach proof of payment as well. The documents that have to be uploaded with the application could include:

• Secondary school results certificate
• Official academic record / transcript
• English language test scores
• Passport copy
• Employer references (if applicable)
• CV
• Statement of Purpose

Note that originals or certified copies of the academic documents should be provided to Monash University upon request. If students do not provide them, then the enrolment may also get cancelled. This can occur at course enrolment or any time after starting the course.

If students are coming to Monash University from overseas, students are required to apply directly to the university. The online application requires students to provide details about the course for which they are applying. Apart from this, other things that have to be submitted along with the application are -

• Copy of documents specified in the course (For instance: results, certificates, related employment)

• English language proficiency test scores
• Official translations of documents in a language that are other than English
• Employer references
