For admission into the Master of Information Technology course, students are required to meet the following Monash University requirements:
- Entry Level 1: An Australian Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), necessarily in IT, with at least 60% average
- Entry Level 2: An Australian Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a cognate or major in IT including Computing, Computer Science, or a Technical Information Technology field, with completed studies in Java and Python programming, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Networks, and Databases with minimum 60% average

As such, to get into Monash University’s MBA course, students are not required to submit a GMAT score. However, note that to take admission to the MBA course, students must submit the application with all the supporting documents. Once Indian students submit the application to Monash University, an assessment of the application takes usually 1 to 3 weeks. If successful, students are going to receive a conditional or full offer via email. However, if the university is not able to make the offer immediately, then students may receive a conditional offer. Monash University needs final results, the results of an English exam, or transcripts to send a full offer to students.

Monash University application fee for international students is AUD 100. While applying, students are required to attach proof of payment as well. The documents that have to be uploaded with the application could include:
- Secondary school results certificate
- Official academic record / transcript

- Passport copy

If students are coming to Monash University from overseas, students are required to apply directly to the university. The online application requires students to provide details about the course for which they are applying. Apart from this, other things that have to be submitted along with the application are:
