B.Tech in usual is a bachelor's degree and you can easily pass through exams from notes and study before exams. The exams are held monthly on semester basis. All the lectures are taught on the basis of textbooks, and notes are given in between the classes. The practical approach of teaching is none and there are no industry visits. The difficulty of exams is quite low and you can get a good score by studying from the books. You can also passed easily by studying just before the exams but, I would not recommend wasting your time and getting an average mark. You are ultimately risking your own chance of being placed in a reputed company with good package, which is impossible with average or passing marks.

The eligibility for scholarship is only through admission by giving the KCET entrance exam. It is a scheme for Karnataka students, and the division is based on the ranks secured. KCET rank from 1 to 5,000 will be awarded with 100% scholarship for tution as well as hostel and transport. KCET rank from 5,001 to 10,000 will be awarded 100% scholarship for tuition and 50% on hostel and transport. KCET rank from 10,001 to 20,000 will be awarded 50% scholarship on tuition fees and the rest will be the same.
