It is one of the top NITs and institutes in India. The institute conducts placement drives at its campus as well. Hence, MSc graduates get more career opportunities.

Admission to the postgraduate-level course is entrance-based. Aspirants are required to take the IIT JAM followed by CCMN Counselling. The seat allotment is done as per the performance in the exam and counselling.

NIT Hamirpur is considered a better choice for B.Tech than MMU Solan due to its national reputation, higher NIRF ranking, and better placement rate. However, MMU Solan is a more affordable option.

LPU permits students residing in the LPU hostel to store their motorcycles indoors. A designated parking area is available for their convenience, but students must submit all necessary information and documentation for safety purposes. Additionally, a nominal monthly fee is required. The exact amount is unknown, so it is advisable to inquire directly at the University. The fee may range from 500/- to 1000/- per month.
