The first step for admission into NIT Hamirpur MBA is to apply and appear for the CAT/MAT/ CMAT entrance exam as admission into NIT Hamirpur's MBA programme takes place after the completion of these exams. Only after getting a valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score will one get a seat in the institution.

After a candidate has appeared for the management entrance exams, they can apply for admission into the programme. Admission into the programme is highly competitive as there are only 40 seats offered by the institution for the MBA programme.

The program follows the semester model, thus candidates have to study for four semesters at the institution and clear the evaluations of four semesters to be eligible for an MBA degree from the institution. As the programme is offered in full-time offline mode the candidates also have to maintain certain attendance standards throughout the four semesters.
