NIT Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh has a beautiful campus spread over 250 acres of area. The hostel has top-notch facilities offered to the students which includes seprate hostel for boys and girls. It has eight boys hostel and four girls hostel. The hostels are a combination of triple-seated or four-seated rooms, while some are double occupancy as well as single occupancy rooms.

NIT Hamirpur is one of the eminent institutes which comes under the thirty-one NITs of the country. NIT Hamirpur was initially set up as a Regional Engineering College (REC) in 1986, with only two departments - Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering as compared to 13 departments at present.
