Both colleges accept IIT JAM scores, followed by CCMN counselling for MSc admission. NIT Surathkal CCMN cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing rank for MSc in Physics was 920 for the General AI quota. Similarly, for NIT Rourkela, the cutoff rank stood at 755.

NIT Rourkela BTech cutoff 2022 has been concluded for DASA UG, followed by Direct Admission of Students Abroad counselling. DASA UG counselling was concluded after Round 3 of the seat allotment results for various categories. During the Round 1 cutoff, the NIT Rourkela cutoff ranged between 260 and 938 for the General AI category quota students. The NIT Rourkela MBA admissions process for 2024 has begun. The institute is now taking applications for admission to the MBA program. On January 3, 2024, the application window opened. Before February 15th, all CAT qualifiers are encouraged to apply online at NIT Rourkela's official website. The institution will also make available on February 29th, following the application portal's closure, the list of selected applicants for the GD-PI rounds.

NIT Rourkela MSc cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the MSc cutoff score ranged between 132 and 1139 for the General AII India category students. Among all the MSc courses, M.Sc. in Life Science is the most competitive specialisation.
