National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-RKL)

To get admission in BTech at NIT Rourkela, Candidate must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from a recognised board with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects for the general category. Reserved category candidates might have a slightly lower minimum percentage. Admission is based on your JEE (Main) score. 

Process:

Apply for JEE Main and Appear for the exam: Take the JEE Main exam when scheduled. The exam consists of two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics and Science) and Paper 2 (optional for B.Arch and B.Planning).After the exam, the NTA will declare the JEE Main results. These will include your percentile score and rank.

JoSAA Counselling: Candidates need to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process where you'll fill out your preferred choices for colleges and BTech programs (including NIT Rourkela) based on your JEE Main rank. Seat allotment will be based on your rank, programme preferences, and seat availability.

Once a seat is allotted to you at NIT Rourkela, you'll need to accept the offer, pay the required fees, and complete the admission formalities as specified by the institute.
