NLU Bangalore offers a total of 120 seats for admission to LLM. The admission are based on CLAT score. For admission to LLM course at NLU Bangalore candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2024 counselling will be called by CNLU through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.

Yes, CLAT is necessary for LLM at NLSIU Bangalore. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the only mode of admission to the LLM programme at NLSIU Bangalore.

Every year, the cut off marks for the NLU Bangalore LLM CLAT exam is affected due to the following factors:
- The difficulty level of the exam. In case the question paper is easy then the CLAT cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
- Total number of applications received. If the total applications received are less then the cut off is expected to be relaxed.
- Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
- Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low
