You have plenty of options to join the Indian Navy after completing the 12th grade. Following completion of the 12th grade, you can join the Indian Navy in the following ways:
1. NDA Every year, UPSC conducts the NDA exam twice. You can give this exam for admission to the Naval Academy through NA Entry. To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 16.5 and 19. Also, you must have PCM stream in class 12th
2. Artificer Apprentice (AA): If you have completed Class 12 with a 60 percent score, you can apply for this position. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the AA post in the Navy.
3. Navy SSR: The Indian Navy SSR Recruitment, also known as Agniveer Navy, is done through a computer-based test followed by a fitness test. To apply for this position, you must have mathematics as one of your 12th-grade subjects. Both males and females can apply for this post.
4. Sport entry: To get a sport entry in the Indian Navy, you must have participated in a recognised game at the national or international level. You can also pursue an engineering or Science degree and pass the first division to gain SSC entry into the Navy.

The Navy's SSC officers are granted a short service commission in the Navy for 10 years. To become a Navy SSC officer, you need to follow the given steps:
1. Complete your schooling with a first division (60%) score.
2. After it, do a BE or B.Tech undergrad degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
3. Apply for the Navy SSC after the official notification is published on the Indian Navy's website.
4. You should be unmarried and under the age of 24 to be eligible.
5. After the application process is over, the candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in the qualifying degrees such as B.E. / B.Tech or M.Sc.
6. The shortlisted candidates are called for SSB interview
7. You need to prepare well for this SSB. Brush up on your graduate degree, the Indian Navy, and current events to pass the SSB.
8. To perform well in the actual interview, practice your articulation and presentation skills in a mock SSB. In order to pass a medical exam, you must also maintain good health. After getting selected, you will be posted to your desired branch.

The Indian Navy recruits candidates for the Short Service Commission SSC in its multiple branches. The post includes those of air traffic controller, naval air operations officer, naval constructor, etc. The Navy recruits SSC officers for three branches:
1. Executive Branch (Information Technology and Other Courses)
2. Education Branch
3. Technical Branch
The eligibility criteria vary according to the post; for most posts, you need to have a degree in engineering.
