NDA Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for NDA exam is as under. NDA Eligibility Criteria 2019 :-
1. Age Limit :- Candidates born not earlier than July 2, 2000, and not later than July 1, 2003. The date of birth should match the date recorded in the matriculation or higher secondary examination certificate. Minimum Age: 16.5 years
Maximum Age: 19.5 years
Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination.
2. Educational Qualification :- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy - Candidates applying for admission to the Army wing of National Defence Academy should have passed Class 12. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy - The candidates must have passed class 12 with Physics and Mathematics conducted by State Education Board/ University. Candidates appearing in Class 12 or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply for NDA 2019. However, those appearing/ passing class 11 exams are not eligible for the exam. So, your Nephew must have to complete his 12th standard first/Appearing.

The eligibility of a candidate willing to appear for NDA is evaluated on the basis of four different categories. As per Nationality:
Apart from Indian origin, candidates from other countries can also appear for NDA 2019. For the same the candidate must either be
An India citizen, A citizen of Bhutan or, A citizen of Nepal, Tibetan refugees who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible to appear for NDA 2019. An Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible to appear for NDA 2019 exam.
