NEET Counselling

The NEET Counseling 2022 is a process of allocating seats in medical colleges by respective authorities on the basis of the rank and preferences of students. This procedure is done by two authorities: the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for 15% of the All India Quota seats and the state's counseling authorities for 85% of the state quota seats. There are generally four rounds, which are: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. The registration procedure for NEET counseling is as follows:
Go to the MCC website for AIQ or your state's official website for state quota. Click on the UG Counselling tab, which will display a registration link. This registration will include selecting preferences, seat locking, and paying fees. Following it, allocations will be done based on ranks, and candidates will be required to report to designated colleges. Now with 306 marks in OBC, you may get into the following medical colleges:
1. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Secunderabad
2. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GITAM) of Visakhapatnam.

There are a total of four rounds in NEET counseling, out of which round one, round two, and the mop-up round will be conducted online as per the guidelines of the Medical Counseling Committee. If you are already getting a seat in round two, you will be able to participate in the mop-up round, according to the rules. In this round, the net vacant seats due to non-joining and non-reporting in Round 2 will be published in the seat matrix, and eligible candidates have to submit fresh choices. Therefore, you may participate in this round. However, you can not join the medical college allocated in round two if you want to participate in the other two rounds, I. e. , the mop-up round and the stray vacate round. Upgrading is not permitted under MCC rules once a candidate who has been assigned a seat in Round 2 joins the college. The process of this round is tedious and depends on the vacancy of round two, the result of which will be processed as per Choice and Merit. You may also participate in the Stray Vacancy Round, which is the last round of NEET counseling.

The candidate category is mean the candidate (Student) is belonging to categories such as General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PWD. Allotted category means the candidate seat is actually allotted to a certain category. For example. One college has a total of 100 seats which are allocated by a certain percentage, the first 40 seats for general (any one category can get that seat), 41- 60 for OBC, 61- 70 for EWS, 71-80 for SC, 81- 90 for ST, 91-95, PWD- 95-100. If the EWS student got 12 the rank, he/she can be allotted a general category seat which means EWS is the candidate category and the general seat is the allotted category for the student.
