Being a part of the prestigious New York University, admission to the NYU Tandon School of Engineering can be challenging. Admissions are selective, especially for areas with high demand including biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. In general, the school requires good marks in pertinent disciplines, especially in scientific, math, and engineering courses, and seeks individuals with strong academic backgrounds. On a 4.0 scale, a strong GPA of at least 3.5 is expected, while successful applicants frequently have much greater academic accomplishments.
