This shows that the university's position declined in the US specific rankings in the year 2026. As per the Times Higher Education rankings for 2025, NYU ranks at #19 position in the U.S. for 2026.

Yes, it is mandatory for students to live on campus for the first year.
On-Campus housing is available to the students at TYC Tisch School of Arts. Living on campus is the cornerstone of their NYU experience, which offers the immersion into NYC's vibrant community and fosters a deep sense of autonomy.
The students can opt to live on-campus which is a convenient option, but it might be a little expensive.

These student councils oversee clubs, create programming, co-sponsor events, and sever as the students' voice to the administration, faculty, and university senate.
