The institute does not provide the cut off marks officially.The cut off comprises opening and closing JEE Main rank for UG courses and CAT percentile for MBA courses. The university conducts its own entrance exam called NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) for admission to its PG programs. The NCAT consists of four sections: Quantitative and Analytical Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal and General Ability, and Personal Interview. The cutoff for NCAT is not officially released by the university, but it is based on the relative performance of the candidates in each section and the overall score.

NICMAR Pune Placements 2023 is concluded with 99% placements. NICMAR the highest package stood at INR 28.66 LPA whereas NICMAR average package stood at INR 9 LPA. 200 recruiters participated in the placement drive.

The candidates will be scrutinised and eligibility is established based on the documents submitted. Applicants should Qualify for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or JEE Paper 2 (NTA). Students are required to appear for a Counselling Session at NICMAR University, Pune. 1. MBA:- For this course, scores of exams like MAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT, ATMA, MHT CET, CUET-PG, CUET are accepted. 
2. BTech:- For this course, scores of entrance exams like CUET,   UGAT are accepted. 
3. BBA:- For this course, entrance exam scores of CUET and UGAT are accepted. 
4. M. Plan:- For this course entrance exam scores which are accepted for MBA are accepted.
