NID DAT and NIFT are two of the most important design entrance exams in the country. Both exams have a design aptitude test and many topics that overlap.
So, you can safely solve NID DAT sample papers as well. That being said you first job will be to complete the NIFT sample papers.

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at NIFT, you must have finished your 10+2 education with a recognised board such as CBSE, ISC, or any state board. You must be under 24 years old as of August 1st of the year of admission, with a 5-year age relaxation for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. In addition, you must take and pass the NIFT entrance exam, which is administered by the National Testing Agency.

The placement rates for the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) degree at NIFT are fairly impressive. Approximately 70-90% of students obtain placements. The cutoff rank for B.Des (Fashion Design) at NIFT Delhi in 2024 was 577 for the OBC category1. Cutoffs for general category students on various schools often range between 450 and 550.

To get into B.Des in NIFT Kangra, the eligibility criteria must be qualified by stating that "the candidate must have passed 10+2 of any stream Science/Commerce/Arts from a recognized board of respective state. The upper age limit is 23 years, but SC/ST/PwD candidates are provided with an age relaxation of up to 5 years." And admission will be taken based on scores obtained in the NIFT entrance exam. Then the shortlisted students undergo document verification and pay tuition fees.

Admissions Direct admission is rarely available at the NIFT Kangra. The students are enrolled by the institute based on the performance in the NIFT entrance, which comprises a written exam, group discussions, and personal interviews. However, in some instances, the facility of direct admissions is availed by a few candidates in cases of sports quotas or other exceptional achievements-but this would be rather an exception.
