There are chances of any misprint or error in the NIOS 12th mark sheet pertaining to either personal details or marks. Then the candidates need to contact the NIOS officials immediately. They should request the authorities to issue a fresh mark sheet. They should get the errors rectified as early as possible. Candidates who are unable to secure pass marks in the NIOS Class 12 exam have to appear for the improvement exam or the Compartment exam. They have to apply for the same by paying the exam fee. In case the subject has both theory and practical parts, then the student has to take both the theory and practical exams. The application form for NIOS Improvement exams will be available on the official website. The NIOS board will release notification regarding the improvement exam after the release of the NIOS 12th result.

There is a possibility of total marks getting reduced after the rechecking process of the NIOS Class 12 papers. However, candidates need not worry. Since the original marks will not get changed in case there is a reduction of the total marks after the rechecking of papers. In case there is an increase of over five percent marks, then the change will be reflected in the result. In case candidates who could not pass earlier secures the pass marks with or without grace marking, then the status will be updated in the new mark sheet of NIOS Class 12.

The application fee for rechecking the NIOS 12th scores is INR 300 per subject. This amount has to be paid online. Candidates who want to get a copy of their answer sheets for re-evaluation have to apply with INR 1,000 per subject. They have to apply through the official site by paying the required amount as DD. Once, the results are out, NIOS will activate the links for application for revaluation.

Those who are not satisfied with their NIOS 12th results can apply for revaluation. Candidates should apply for the NIOS 12th result re-evaluation within 15 days of declaration of the result. Candidates can either opt for the re-totaling of the marks, or re-evaluation of the answer papers once again. They have to pay the required fees for the revaluation or retotaling. NIOS will notify the same on the official website, once the results are out.

The M and M Unit, Department of Evaluation, NIOS prepares the NIOS class 10 and NIOS Class 12 marksheet. NIOS Marksheet will be issued to successful students only. They have to visit the respective Accredited Institute (AIs) soon after the NIOS Result 2025 Class 10 and NIOS Result 2025 Class 12, to collect their mark sheets. The Digilocker mode can be considered quite safe for the candidates as it requires two layers of login, which are the online credentials, followed by the OTP. Hence, candidates may be assured of the safety feature of the Digilocker. Students have to register themselves on DigiLocker. They will have to enter mobile number or Aadhaar card number which is linked to a working mobile number. They will receive an OTP for confirmation.
