Admission to NIT Candidates must pass specific entrance tests to be considered for Manipur. Those who want to apply for BTech programs must first pass JoSAA Counseling and then JEE Main. After JoSAA Counseling is finished, CSAB Counseling fills the positions that are unfilled. 

The GATE and IIT JAM scores are used to determine admission to other programs like M.Tech and MSc, respectively.
