As per the NIRF report 2024, a total of 31 MTech students graduated in 2023. Out of these, 20 were placed during 2023 placements. This makes the placement rate almost 65%. Earlier, out of 34 MTech graduates 12 were placed during 2022 placements. This makes the placement rate 35%. From 2021 to 2023, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the MTech placement rate. See the table below depicting the NIT Sikkim placement trends for MTech:

The institute has disclosed the placement percentage for the BTech batch 2019-23. During 2023 placements, the highest-ever placement rate was recorded when compared with 9 years of data. Check the below table to know the NIT Sikkim placement statistics for 2023:

According to unofficial online sources, a large share of NIT Sikkim alumni is working in the Engineering sector with a 44% share. The other top sectors that involve the majority of alumni are Education and Operations. The detailed sector-wise distribution of alumni is represented in the below pie chart:

NIT Agartala median package is 6 to 8 LPA and placement rate is 85 to 88% whereas in Tripura University minimum is 3lpa and maximum is 12lpa and placement rate is 3 to 4%.
So if you think you can bag the highest placement anyhow you can go for Tripura University but if you are not so sure than NIT Agartala is obviously the best suitable and every institute has its own pro and cons look into that where are you getting your desired benefits.
Also if you are having a chance to go in NIT Agartala I'll must say take it.

comparing both the colleges here are the points to be noted down
1.NIT themselves are brand
2. they are runned by govts fund
3.You always gonna find better palcement opportunities in an NIT and reputed gfti over other colleges
4.comparing over iec the avg package thier is about twice or thrice thir avg package
5.avg pacvkage at NIT hamirpur tops at 12 LPA meanwhile
the avg package here at IEC is just 4-5
6.the crowd over an NIT compared to any other colleges (except bits, iiits, and other such high level colleges)
is much better compared
7.the fact adjoined to such dominant colleges is that they provide a boost of opportunity.
