NIT Surathkal BTech admissions are offered on an entrance basis. The institute accepts only those who clear the admission criteria given below:

Eligibility - Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects + Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects/ Biology as one of the subjects + a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates)

Selection Process - JEE Mains + JoSAA/ CSAB

NIT Surathkal selection criteria is entrance-based mainly. The selection process for the programmes is as below:

  • BTech - JEE Mains + JoSAA Counselling/ CSAB
  • MTech - GATE + CCMT
  • MSc - IIT JAM + CCMN
  • MBA - CAT/ MAT/ CMAT + GDPI

NIT Surathkal eligibility has to be met for students to get admission in the institute. The eligibility is different depending on the course and category. The common eligibility is as below:

  • NIT Surathkal UG eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects from a recognised board
  • NIT Surathkal PG eligibility - UG degree in a relevant field from a recognised university
  • NIT Surathkal PhD eligibility - PG degree from a recognised university

Candidates with a BCA/BSc Hons/BSc with Mathematics and Statistics subjects with 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for reserved category) are eligible to pursue this course. Candidates also have to submit the necessary documents to prove their eligibility at the time of admission and the application form filling.

The aspirants with a BCA/BSc Hons/BSc with Mathematics and Statistics subjects with 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for reserved category) can take admission to the MCA course in NITK. Moreover, the candidates must also hold the relevant documents at the time of form filling and admission as proof of eligibility.

The eligibility criteria for MTech course at the NIT Surathkal is that candidate should have passed BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognised university. Aspirant should have the degree and mark sheets (original/copies) at the time of form filling and admission confirmation. The selection process include GATE + CCMT Counselling
