It entirely depends upon you. Both these colleges have their brand name. You can decide whether to be an IITian or NITian. But if you are concerned with the knowledge then NIT, Trichy cannot be replaced by IIT Dhanbad. Apart from that, NIT has cent percent record in placements.

Both are equally good in NIT, Trichy. It depends upon your interest in these branches. Placement wise production engineering is better.
