At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy provides two-year MTech, MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. The MCA program at NIT, Trichy is good. NIT Tiruchirappalli is ranked 701-710 by QS World University Rankings 2025. It is one of the top-ranked universities present in India. MCA students get great placement opportunities in top companies like Google, Infosys, Facebook, Oracle, and others. The university infrastructure is also very good. For MCA admission, candidates must qualify for the NIMCET, and for that, candidates must study according to the the NIMCET exam pattern.

NIT Trichy offers a two-year MSc course across four specialisations. This course is taught through the Department of Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. NIT Trichy accepts admission to MSc through the IIT JAM entrance exam, which is conducted by IITs for selection to MSc courses. The admission process gets completed with the CCMN Counselling round. Candidates must keep a close eye on the CCMN Counselling and prepare accordingly.

JEE Mains Rank is 10887 (185 marks after revaluation of answer key). Below expectation result in Advanced, so can't get IIT (10782). Didn't had Interest in any branch but by placements, I could understand why everyone preferred CSE. But CSE, I could not get in any top NIT (Not in my own city), my father is a contractor and told me about civil engineering and it's long term gains (which we cannot forsee just by looking at the placements of UG ), so chose it. (would not have taken mechanical even if I got it in IITB). .
