Here are the minimum cutoff criteria for admission to the B.Des program at  NMIMS School of Design:-

• Qualifying Exam:- You need to have cleared either NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) or NMIMS-CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design)
• Minimum Score Required:- 
  -For NMIMS-CEED  - Minimum 50 percentile score.
  -For NATA -  Minimum 90/200 marks.
• 12th Standards Marks:-
  - You need a minimum aggregate score of 60% in 12th boards.
  - Minimum 50% marks in any one of the subjects - Physics, Chemistry or Maths.
  - Additionally, shortlisted candidates will also have to undergo a Studio Test and Personal Interview conducted by NMIMS before final admissions.

In summary, the important B.Des cutoffs at NMIMS School of Design are 60 percentile on the 12th board and a minimum of 50 percentile on the NMIMS-CEED or 90/200 on NATA.

Here are some details regarding B.Des cutoffs:-

• For top design colleges like NIFT and NID, cutoffs are extremely high and competition is very tough. NIFT typically requires a minimum of 80-90%ile score in the entrance exam for shortlisting.
• Other leading design institutes affiliated with universities have cutoffs in the range of 50-60%ile scores in qualifying design aptitude tests.
• Colleges accept either merit scores in relevant design entrance tests like NID DAT, NIFT MAT, or marks in 12th board exams. Cutoffs in 12th boards are usually set at 50% to 60% for general category applicants.

Additionally, many colleges conduct their own entrance tests, interviews, or portfolio reviews to assess applicant's creativity and interest in the field. The final admission offer is given based on a composite assessment across these parameters.

So in summary, while the most prestigious design programs are intensely competitive, other relatively newer institutes are more realistic with 50-60% + cutoffs either in entrance exams or 12th boards. 

NMIMS School of Design accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate design programs :- 

• NMIMS Design Aptitude Test (DAT) :-
  This is NMIMS' own entrance test specifically for design admissions
  It has a written aptitude test, case study analysis and creative ability assessment
  DAT scores are mandatory for all NMIMS design programs.
• NID DAT :-
  Scores from National Institute of Design's Design Aptitude Test are also accepted
  NID DAT also assesses creative and design abilities through multiple choice questions and case studies.
• CEED
  Common Entrance Examination for Design conducted by IIT Bombay
  Tests visual perception, creativity, drawing, etc. CEED qualified candidates can apply for NMIMS design programs.
• UCEED
  Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design accepted for B.Des admissions
  Conducted by IIT Bombay to assess design-based thinking skills
• In addition, candidates have to provide Class 12th percentage, portfolio, Standardized tests scores (SAT, in specific cases) as applicable for different NMIMS design admissions.

In conclusion, NID DAT, CEED, and UCEED scores are required, but NMIMS DAT scores are required in order for candidates to apply to the school of design's design programs.
