NPAT Exam is conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and it is the entrance exam. There are total of 120 questions asked in the exam and there are in total three sections. The three sections cover the questions related to Verbal reasoning, Quantitative reasoning, and logical reasoning. The total questions asked in one section is 40 respectively. The total time given to candidates is 100 minutes. there is no time divided for each section, the total time is 100 minutes and the candidate must complete the whole exam in complete 100 minutes. SVKMs NMIMS conducts the NPAT exam with no negative marking. Candidates who take the NPAT exam are evaluated based on the marking scheme set by the examination authority. Each correct response marked by the candidate fetches (+)1 mark. Since there is no negative marking, candidates do not get any negative marks for incorrect responses or unattempted questions. Therefore, candidates takjing the NPAT exam can answer all the questions, weather or not they know the answer to a particular question. Guess work may lead to a correct response.

The NPAT exam consists of three sections, each section with a different set of question types. Three sections of NMIMS-NPAT exam includes Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning.
Verbal Reasoning section tests the ability to understand and interpret written material. The questions in the section are based on the following types:
