Students can choose from two-course options for graduate-level (duration – four years) - BSc (Basic) and BSc (Post-Basic), postgraduate level MSc in Nursing (duration – 18 months to three years) and PhD in Nursing (two to three years). The eligibility criteria for the two is mentioned below:

  • BSc (Basic)– Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and should be medically fit.

In most of the cases, one must have Biology.

Arts and commerce students can't directly pursue B.Sc. Nursing after 12th but there are courses like GNM and ANM that are also like Nursing and syllabus and pattern is same too. Even Science students opt for GNM as well.

There are 1,00,930 BSc Nursing course seats in 1936 nursing colleges in India. There are 571 BSc Nursing seats in AIIMS.

Yes, RUHS, Jaipur provides an application correction facility to candidates after the application process concludes. In 2026, the RUHS application correction window will be available for candidates from tentatively in August 2026 in online mode.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Code Generation for final registration will begin soon at the official website. The dates for this event will be announced by AIIMS Delhi for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates will have to generate the code, as it is a mandatory step to apply for the final registration under the PAAR method of registration released by AIIMS.

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 entrance exams will be organized and conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, for admissions in BSc Nursing programmes like BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing. It is an online (Computer-Based Test) which will be conducted for a duration of 90 minutes/1.5 hours. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions in the exam, of 1 mark.

KGMU nursing entrance test does not exist. It was earlier conducted for admission to nursing course offered by the Kings George Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. In the present scenario, candidates must appear for the CNET entrance exam to be eligible for admission. All the admission related updates and procedures will be enabled though the official admission portal of KGMU, Lucknow.

JENPUAH is the former name for the JENPAS UG exam. JENPAS stands for the Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Undergraduate exam. It is being conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for entry to undergraduate courses. The JENPAS UG exam is conducted in offline mode and is organised once a year. The exam was conducted on October 18, 2025.
