Hi Sangita,
You must apply for a student visa but only after when you have an admission offer from an university in Canada. Your spouse can apply for the spouse visa, details of which can be found on the immigration website.

Both are equally good courses, you have to choose according to your interest only. After doing both courses, you have good job options. You may get both government and private jobs. The only difference is that after doing BPT, you will be designated as a doctor and you can do your own practice and after nursing, you will be known as a nursing sister only but both have good career scope in future.

Hi Kawanpreet,
I am sure you are planning for a PG level programme. This would require an overall IELTS of 6.5 with no section less than 6. A majority of the universities have this requirement but every university has different entry criteria. Atleast 6 overall is expected. If you don't meet IELTS requirements, you can check with the college or university for bridge courses. You should visit the university websites and email them if necessary.

GNM referred as General Nursing and Midwifery it deals with the education of nurses in general health care, nursing, and midwifery whereas ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records. ANM is a one year diploma course and GNM is a three and half year diploma course and service areas are same for ANM & GNM diploma holders.
