Depending on your budget you guys should also decide where you'd prefer to live, OCAD is basically in the heart of downtown so it can be pretty pricey, so be prepared to look for a farther commute if you don't want to be drowning in rent.

Applying to OCAD University is different from applying to other universities in Canada because admission to OCAD U is based primarily on a portfolio or writing submission, although strong academic skills are also essential for overall success. All applicants to Graduate Studies at OCAD University must complete a graduate application through the Graduate Application Portal. The recommended deadline to apply for all programs at OCAD University is February 1, and applications may be considered after this deadline if space is available. Admission to OCAD University is competitive, and meeting minimum academic entrance requirements does not guarantee admission. Final decisions on matters of admission rest within the Undergraduate Admissions Office. All admission decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
