Odisha NEET Counselling

Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) will state the eligibility criteria to participate in the Odisha NEET counselling 2025 along with the announcement of the state counselling process. The criteria are given below.

•    Candidates must be of 17 years of age as on 31.12.2025 and there will be no upper age limit.

•    Candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha, or Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in state of Odisha cadre. 

•    Candidates must have passed Class 12 Board exam in Science stream and in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have secured minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at Class 12 Science level for General Candidate (GE), 40 per cent for SC/ST candidates and 45 per cent for benchmark disability candidates (PC-GE). The required mark for Physically Challenged candidate of SC/ST category is 40 per cent.

•    Candidates must have qualified for NEET 2025.

The eligibility criteria for NRI candidates to participate in the OJEE NEET 2025 counselling process are given below:

1. The NRI candidates, who have qualified the NEET UG 2025, are eligible.

2. NRI means the children or wards of a person of Indian origin residing outside India. Such candidates have to submit the following documents in support of NRI.

i. Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer)

ii. Relation of NRI with the candidate

iii. Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ She will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized.

iv. Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).

Registration for Odisha NEET 2025 counselling will be conducted separately for each round. Odisha NEET 2025 counselling Round 2 registration process was conducted from September 10 to September 11, 2025. The registration process for Round 1 was conducted from July 22 to July 26, 2025, 11.59 PM. The registration window was reopened from August 1 to August 2, 2025, since MCC has extended the last date of registration and choice filling for NEET 2025 counselling Round 1. The registration process for Odisha NEET counselling 2025 is completely online. Only those candidates who qualified for NEET 2025 and fulfilled other eligibility criteria can register and participate in the Odisha NEET counselling 2025.  

The merit list refers to the list of candidates belonging to the state, who qualified for NEET 2025. The provisional and final merit list for Odisha NEET 2025 counselling are released separately. The Odisha NEET 2025 counselling provisional merit list was released on July 29, 2025. Candidates could submit queries or challenge the provisional merit list by July 30, 2025, by 5 PM, based on which the final merit list was out on July 31, 2025. However, since the registration window is reopened from August 1 to August 2, 2025, OJEE will release the revised merit list on August 3, 2025. For Odisha NEET counselling 2025 Round 2, the provisional and final merit lists were released on September 13 and September 14, 2025, respectively. The round-wise Odisha NEET 2025 counselling merit list dates will be provided here as and when they are released by OJEE.

No, there will not be an OBC category reservation in Odisha NEET 2025 counselling. Such candidates will be considered as open category students for admission purposes. This means, such candidates must secure the NEET qualifying cutoff for the General or Open category candidates as stated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) during the NEET 2025 result declaration. The other eligibility criteria stated by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) counselling committee is also the same as that applicable for the General category candidates. OBC category candidates are not allowed to claim any special reservation during the seat allotment process. At the same time, such candidates need not furnish any specific documents pertaining to OBC category.
