Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) will state the eligibility criteria to participate in the Odisha NEET counselling 2025 along with the announcement of the state counselling process. The criteria are given below.

•    Candidates must be of 17 years of age as on 31.12.2025 and there will be no upper age limit.

Registration for Odisha NEET 2025 counselling will be conducted separately for each round. Odisha NEET 2025 counselling Round 2 registration process was conducted from September 10 to September 11, 2025. The registration process for Round 1 was conducted from July 22 to July 26, 2025, 11.59 PM. The registration window was reopened from August 1 to August 2, 2025, since MCC has extended the last date of registration and choice filling for NEET 2025 counselling Round 1. The merit list refers to the list of candidates belonging to the state, who qualified for NEET 2025. The provisional and final merit list for Odisha NEET 2025 counselling are released separately. The Odisha NEET 2025 counselling provisional merit list was released on July 29, 2025. Candidates could submit queries or challenge the provisional merit list by July 30, 2025, by 5 PM, based on which the final merit list was out on July 31, 2025. The seat allotment dates for Odisha NEET counselling vary for each round. At first, Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) releases the provisional seat allotment result, which is followed by the objection raising or reporting for discrepancies. After that, the final seat allotment list is released. Odisha NEET 2025 counselling Round 1 and Round 2 results were declared on August 16 and September 19, 2025, respectively.

The annual course fee for MBBS in a government medical college of Odisha is around INR 40,000. According to OJEE, the authority for Odisha NEET counselling, fees to be deposited to government medical/dental colleges is INR 37,950 per annum. Additional fees as prescribed by concerned Govt. Colleges may be collected at institutional level which may vary from institution to institution. On the other hand, annual MBBS fees for private medical colleges ranges from INR 5.5 Lacs to INR 6.5 lakh. OJEE also states, "NRI candidates have to pay four times of the above fees in private colleges."

No, there will not be an OBC category reservation in Odisha NEET 2025 counselling. Such candidates will be considered as open category students for admission purposes. This means, such candidates must secure the NEET qualifying cutoff for the General or Open category candidates as stated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) during the NEET 2025 result declaration. The other eligibility criteria stated by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) counselling committee is also the same as that applicable for the General category candidates. OBC category candidates are not allowed to claim any special reservation during the seat allotment

No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or plan to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.
