The selection category entered by a candidate at application time establishes the permanent category for both counseling participation and seat assignment procedures. For candidates seeking admission to the government colleges in Odisha must take the OJEE exam 2025. Also, candidates who fulfil the domicile criteria for OJEE admission only will be eligible for admission to the government colleges in the state. Yes, the OJEE exam will conducted in multiple shifts this year. The exam will likely be held in the second week of May 2026. The OJEE exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode for admission to various PG and UG programmes.

Students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam, will be awarded the ranks which start from 1100001. The 1100478 in the student's OJEE rank card would mean that they appeared for the Special OJEE exam and their rank was 478 among the students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam.
The counselling for such candidates will be done after the first phase of the OJEE counselling process and considering the JEE Main candidates. The ranking of Special OJEE BTech begins with 1100001 instead of 1.
