NPTEL courses are absolutely free for all to access. However, there is an examination fee if student wants a certificate.

  • The examination fee is Rs. 1,000 per course for the majority of courses.

  • For AICTE and Advanced FDP courses, it is Rs. 2,000 per course.

  • Students belonging to economically weaker sections may be eligible for waiver of fees or scholarships.

  • Even if students do not pay for the exam, they can still gain from the course material without certification.

Yes, according to the recent UGC guidelines, students can study two degrees at the same time, one in regular mode and the other in online or distance mode. This implies it is legally permitted to study an MBBS degree in regular mode and also take admission in a BA degree in online mode. Nevertheless, you need to ensure that both universities accept this arrangement and that there are no NMC restrictions from the Medical Council of India on further degree programs during MBBS. It is best to inquire with your MBBS school and the provider of the BA programme to ensure that they are compliant with their regulations.
