Oregon State University accepts country-specific qualifications from Indian graduate students and they must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to secure an enrollment in OSU. These entry requirements comprise of the following:

Degree Requirements:

• 4 year Bachelor's degree; OR
• 3 year Bachelor plus completed Master = 4 year Bachelor's degree; OR
• A professional degree signifying completion of a 4-year equivalent degree relating to a specific career.

Academic Requirements:

• A cumulative average GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (B average); OR
• A cumulative average of 60% (First Class) out of 100% is generally equivalent to a B average; OR
• A cumulative average of 8 out of 10 where no classification is given; OR
• Percentage or grade equivalent to First Class.

English Proficiency Requirements:

• IELTS: 6.5 & Above; OR
• TOEFL iBT: 80 (with minimum of 18 on all subscores).

In order to get enrolled in Oregon State University for higher studies, all international students are required to fulfill certain admission requirements. The exact entry requirements may differ according to the choice of course. However, OSU demands the following requirements from prospective overseas applicants:

• Completed online application along with $65 = INR 5,411* application fee; and
• A four-year baccalaureate degree, a professional degree or an appropriate US/Canadian alternative degree, from a regionally accredited or recognised college or university with 3.0 GPA; or
• A four-year baccalaureate degree, a professional degree or an appropriate US/Canadian alternative degree, and a 45-quarter credit equivalent graduate degree from a regionally accredited or recognised college or university with 3.0 GPA; and
• Overall cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale;
• Academic transcripts from all the institutions attended; and
• English proficiency exam scores (IELTS: 6.5 | TOEFL: 80 | DET: 110).

Oregon State University's admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. However, overseas applicants can secure an admission in OSU without IELTS/TOEFL/DET score if they meet at least one of the criteria listed below:

• Oregon6 score: 560 (Evidence based reading/writing);
• ACT score: 21;
• IB Diploma: Language and Literature HL with a minimum score of 5;
• AP English: Language and Composition with a minimum score of 3;
• Completion of two or more full-time semesters/quarters with at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, in a rigorous programme in the U.S. or from one of the following English speaking countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Nigeria, and United Kingdom;
• Completion of two transferrable English composition courses with grades C- or better, or one English composition and one speech communication course with grades C- or better, all from a U.S. university; and
• IGCSE O or A Level English with a grade of C or better (provisional results are not accepted).
