The OIST admission process is as below:
- Aspirants need to visit the official website to apply for the respective course. Candidates need to pay an application fee.
- BTech admission is based on JEE Main + College Level Counselling. For MTech and MCA courses, the students will be selected based on merit.
- Once selection rounds are over, the Institute releases a merit list. Selected aspirants are allotted seat in the Institute. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the Institute.

The institute offers BTech course at the UG level. To apply for this course, the candidate should complete class 12 with 45% aggregate. Below are the list of all documents required for BTech admission at the time of admission at Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal including six photographs:
Following Original documents with two attested copies each:-
- Class 12 mark sheet and pass certificate
- Class 10 mark sheet and pass certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate
- Gap Certificate ( If applicable)
- Print Out of JEE Entrance examination Score Card if applicable and Aadhar Card
