Getting into the MDS Orthodontics programme at Dasmesh Institute of Research and Dental Sciences isnt too easy since admissions are done through centralized counseling by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS). You need a BDS degree from a recognised college and registration with the State Dental Council to be eligible. Since the number of seats is quite limited, a higher NEET MDS rank really boosts your chances. But if you meet all the requirements and score well in the exam, you definitely have a shot!

The cost for the MDS in Orthodontics at Dasmesh Institute of Research and Dental Sciences is almost 17.55 Lacs for three years12. This is a high-value fee compared to the various dental institutions in India as they may charge lower on similar programs. The additional costs may be there pertaining to hostel fees and the other living expenses that the students may incur. Prospective students should weigh these costs against the quality of education and facilities provided by the institute.

To get admission in MDS Orthodontics at Manipal University, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, or Kalinga University in 2024, you must be having a BDS degree and one-year internship completed with your qualification in NEET-MDS 2024. After getting the desired percentile (50% for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC), apply through the respective universities' official portals and also participate in the NEET-MDS counseling process. NEET-MDS scorecard, BDS degree, internship certificate, and registration certificate should be submitted, and the admission notification and counseling schedules must be updated.
