If you give GATE with branch other than your B.Tech branch, then you are not eligible for PSU, but you can get admission into IITS and NITS for M.Tech.

Paint technology is a sub-branch of chemical technology. It is a very niche branch of engineering under the chemical engineering and hence the course is seen to be offered by few institutes in India. Here is the list of colleges:

Well, at Garware College, they have full time course and I think they don't provide part time course for paint technology. So, you should opt for gull time.
