You can register yourself as a Part Time Ph.D. scholar without leaving present job. There are different rules and regulations to enroll in Part Time Ph.D. programme in different Universities and colleges.

Most of the good colleges offer full time only today (IIMS) but you can apply for XLRI and SPJain or XIME these are mostly part time Ph.D.

IN TU - Tantia University, there the part time Ph.D is not available. It is there at LPU. Duration of programme is minimum 3 years. (From the date of initial registration).
