B.Tech Civil engineering in Patna: The key governmental institutions are National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna. Also, Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE), Patna is a governmental engineering institution situated in the Patna district. Other engineering colleges under government such as Government Engineering College, Bhojpur and Government Engineering College, Buxar also lie quite near Patna.

Faculty at BIT Patna are qualified and dedicated Ph.D. teachers who are kind in nature especially in management, CSE, and labs. However, there's significant inconsistency, with strong educators alongside less effective ones. Around 30% are outstanding, while others are average. Yes, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra have the good and qualified faculities who are helpful and kind in nature and they have the Ph.D. teachers to teach the students and they can teach the logic for how to approach the problems and how to solve them.

To apply for B.E./B.Tech at BIT Mesra – Patna Extension Center (2025):
- Appear for JEE Main, secure a valid rank.
- Register for JoSAA/CSAB counselling (expected to begin ~June 3, 2025)
- Select BIT Patna during the choice-filling process .
- After seat allotment, complete document verification and pay fees via the online portal.
Alternatively, lateral entry (2nd-year B.Tech) is available (for diploma/B.Sc. holders) by online BIT Mesra application (May–June window).

No Direct (Management) Admission for B.Tech
- According to Shiksha.com, B.Tech admissions at BIT Patna are based only on JEE Main score and counselling. Management or direct admissions are not allowed.
