Master of Philosophy and Master of Arts in Philosophy are two different courses. As you may already know Master of Philosophy is known as M Phil. You can pursue MPhil course after completing a post graduate course. Now this course has been discontinued.
Master of Arts in Philosophy which is also known as MA Philosophy is a course that you can pursue after graduation.
Master of Philosophy is a degree in Philosophy that can be pursued with any specialisation whereas Master of Arts in Philosophy in a degree in Arts with Philosophy as a specialisation.

MA Philosophy is a PG degree. You can pursue it after completing graduation. If you have completed BA Philosophy then you will already be aware of the core concepts of this domain. Since most colleges give admission to MA Philosophy course on the basis of entrance exam you will have to prepare for exams like CUET PG to get admission in good colleges.
