The Commercial Pilot License course is a training of around 12 to 18 months and includes flying training of 200 hours on single engine and double engine planes. The fee only for single engine training is around Rs 23 lakhs in India and that of single+multi engine training is around 28 lakhs.

If you want to become a commercial pilot, enroll for the CPL training program. You must have passed 10+2 Science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) subjects (minimum 50% aggregate marks) to be considered eligible to join a flying school.

The UFly International, Bangalore offers the Pilot training course. The eligibility criteria is given below.
Pilot Training Eligibility Checklist :
1. Minimum Age 17 (Minimum 18 before departure to US)
2. High School degree or equivalent (int'l Diploma)
3. Good knowledge of English
4. EASA Class 1 Medical certificate
5. Passport valid for at least 3 years
6. Financing Plan

Hello ,CPL Training is dependent on the type of aircraft you choose to get trained on. Cessna 152 - Rs.7000-8000 per Hour
Cessna 172 - Rs.9000-11000 per Hour
P-16 - Rs.15000-18000 per Hour etc. And any candidate who gets enrolled for this professional training requires to complete 200 hours of flying, in order to get his/her CPL issued.

Hello,
Higher education is never a barrier to go for any training. For CPL, the basic qualification is 10+2 with PCM combination and I am sure you can be a better pilot being an engineer. All the best.
