No, the only requirement is 10+2 with PCM (55%) and good money to invest in training. Government academies charge around 38 to 45 lakhs for CPL and private flying schools charge almost additional 10 lakhs.

Dear,
For both, you need to complete 10+2 with PCM. There is a common feature if you know engineering, you can understand nuances of flying an aeroplane quickly and correctly. If you are interested in engineering then chose AE and if you are interested to handle the controls, pilot training is a good but expensive option.
