Otherwise, Admissions for CPL are taken on Direct Entry basis. You should although justify the minimum eligibility hence required for the same. You should have passed class 12 with PCM as subjects and scored at least 50% marks in PCM. You may directly contact the flying school you wish to join and enquire about the admission.

IGRUA takes admission via an entrance exam which is conducted in August/September each year for CPL entrants.

A type rating is a regulating agency's certification of an aeroplane pilot to fly a certain aircraft type that requires additional training beyond the scope of the initial license and aircraft class training.
A type rating is required for any aircraft over 12,500 lbs MGTOW and/or with a turbojet powerplant. There are also ratings for operating privileges.
