You can directly prepare for IAS rather going for a post-graduation, because UPSC doesn't give an advantage for being a post graduate.

The chances are quite high but it depends on the no. of applicants because this year, the percentage has gone pretty high for 12th humanities result hence making competition a bit tough but do fill in the forms.
