Dear Gagan, it is not clear to me why you want to go for MA in Public Administration after B.Tech/ BE. If you are preparing for some exam, better prepare like this only. In my opinion better option for you would be to go for M.Tech or MBA for brighter prospects. For M.Tech appear for GATE and MBA attempt CAT MAT XAT CMAT etc. In case you don't want to then try for private universities like LPU, Symbiosis, Maniapl, etc. Where admission can be based on above mentioned tests, their own tests, even on basis of marks in graduation. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. Good luck.

There are no specific books which will provide the short-cut of preparing for the entrance. All you have to do is, you just go through the previous year question paper and there you will get the idea and a nature of questions by which you will find some specific topic which usually asked questions and from there you can prepare in 14 days of study by focussing on that very topics. Well, this is a self-assessing way of preparation which seems to be natural somehow.
Otherwise, read the syllabus thoroughly.
Search for a book which covers the whole syllabus. Make sure that you read according to the syllabus, otherwise, you will never be able to finish the syllabus and get ready for the entrance.
Get updated on the current affair of political and constitutional related topic which usually asked 24 question.

Hi,M.Phil. in Public Administration is a 2 year Post-Graduate academic research course in the domain of Public administration, eligibility to which is having a Master's degree with minimum 55% marks in related field from any recognized central or state/private/deemed university. The process of admission for the course is a mix of both merit-based selection procedure and a common entrance test based admission process (as seen across various Universities and colleges in the country). However, in most of the colleges, the admission process would be based on merit and would involve college displaying cut-off for the course (till the seats are filled) and candidates satisfying the cut-off percentage visiting the college and getting admissions.
