The eligibility criteria for admission to a certificate course at Praveenya Institute of Marine Engineering is to pass the 12th standard examination with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks from a recognised board. The candidate must also have passed English as a subject in the 10th or 12th standard with at least 40% marks.

Yes. Praveenya Institute do offer some scholarship for UG studies. So basically there's an exam called Andhra Pradesh EAMCET those who qualify for that exam with good marks can get a scholarship up to INR 4 Lacs rupee. It's merely based on caste and academic performance. Other than that students can also apply for government and caste-based scholarships via college.

There is no direct comparable national ranking for Marine Engineering as such institutions do not exist for Marine Engineering like general engineering universities. But it is associated with Andhra University and unfortunately, it is not ranked in NIRF ranking, which is done for colleges considering different factors. The institute is focused on delivering specialized course Curriculum & training in marine engineering and readying students for jobs in the maritime sector. The credibility and appropriateness of the institute must be evaluated depending on the purpose of the student.

To join B.Tech programme at Praveenya Institute of Marine Engineering, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as mandatory subjects obtaining 45 % marks in aggregate from any stream. SEAT is offered after writing the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET which is a common entrance examination for engineering courses in Andhra Pradesh. They particularly focus on marine engineering course since the school’s core business is to ensure they offer hands-on training and skill set for the marine sector. Maritime aptitude with focus on placement: Companies like the Indian Navy and different shipping lines come to the campus to recruit students. Marine Engineering Organizations offer an average passing-out salary of INR 4,00,000 to INR 6,00,000 per annum for a student graduating from a similar Institute.

On the other hand, U.V. Patel College of Engineering Institution which offers admission in different Engineering courses has revealed that regular course completion graduates accept job offers with around INR 3,50,000 average pay scale per annum.

The refunds of fees are also applicable in Praveenya Institute of Marine Engineering based on the regulation of the University Grants Commission- UGC. Generally if a student has withdrawn his or her admission before the class commences then generally the institute returns the fee but deducting few processing charges which may be INR 1,000 maximum. Also, in case a student withdraws his course after completion of the admission process but before the start of classes, then, an amount as may be prescribed as per the shri University Grants Commission rules but may be deducted and adjusted against the fees.
