Your first preference should be for MCA through NIMCET. The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) conduct a national level entrance examination for admission to Masters in Computer Applications, I. e. MCA which is known as NIMCET. There are 10 NITs across India where admissions are offered through NIMCET. The other options are the designing courses as under.
1. M.Des in Animation and Film Design from NID Ahmadabad
2. M.Des in Graphic Design form NID Ahmadabad
3. M.Des in Transportation and Automobile Design form NID Ahmadabad
4. M.Des in Interaction Design form NID Ahmadabad

Yes, definitely you have many opportunities after learning java it is very useful in the software sector even though you are a mechanical student it doesn't make any difference.

IILM University offers Merit Cum Means Based Scholarship to all deserving candidates thus attracting the brightest of the minds. The scholarship will be a tuition fee waiver on the recommendation of the admission committee. This scholarship is announced at the time of admission.
