Physical counseling is open mainly to candidates who did not get a seat in the online rounds or to fill reserved seats still vacant. In practice (as in previous years), the first day (s) may focus on General category candidates without seats, and subsequent days on remaining reserved category candidates. You attend in person at the designated venue (Panjab University, Chandigarh) with your documents and payment. The counselors will re-check your rank and choices, and offer available seats department by department. Once seats are offered, you must confirm and pay immediately. Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 must report to their allotted department on July 23–24, 2025. Again, bring all original documents and pay the required fees immediately (using bank drafts or online payment as per the university's instructions. Reporting for Round 2 similarly finalizes your admission. If you had a seat in Round 1 and opted out, be aware that failure to report by these dates can result in loss of admission.

If you receive an allotment in Round 1, you must report to the allotted department on campus during the prescribed dates and bring all the important documents. You will also need to pay the admission and departmental fees immediately. The rules state that fee collection will happen “on the spot” by bank draft or online means. (Candidates must prepare drafts for registration fees, admission fee, and any department fund as instructed. After successful verification and fee payment, the department will confirm your admission.
