The mediums of the PU UGLAW exam question paper will be three languages: Punjabi, Hindi, and English. This means the questions in the question paper of the PU UGLAW exam will be in three languages: Punjabi, English, and Hindi. However, the English section of the question will be in the English language only. Thus, candidates who opt for Punjabi or English as their medium to take the exam will have to solve the English section in the English language. The PU UGLAW exam is conducted in the three languages mentioned here because it will allow candidates from all regions of India to apply for the exam.

PU UGLAW exam total mark is 100. For each correct answer, candidates will get 1 mark. You will get -0.25 mark (-1/4) mark for a wrong answer. For unattempted answer, no mark is deducted. The marking scheme is mentioned below:

1 correct answer = +1 mark

1 incorrect answer = -0.25 or - 1/4 mark

1 Unattempted answer = 0 mark

The SC / ST / Backward Class / PwD category candidates need 10% marks and candidates from all other categories need 15% marks. The minimum qualifying marks for each category is based on the category-based reservation criterion. There will be total 100 question in the exam carrying 1 for mark each. Thus, SC / ST / Backward Class / PwD category candidates will have to achieve 10 marks to pass the PU UGLAW exam. However, General category candidates need 15 marks to qualify for the exam.

PU UGLAW 2026 entrance test has MCQ type questions. These quesions are asked from four subjects, namely, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Aptitude for Law, Mental Ability, and English Language. Based on these subjects there will be four sections in the question paper of the exam. Candidates will have to answer all these questions within 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes). There will be a total of 100 question in the question paper.
