No, PIBM Pune does not allow direct admission. For a period of two years, the institute offers PG level Management courses in both PGDM and MBA. There is a selection process that applicants to these courses must go through. Admission to PIBM Pune is solely determined by entrance. Candidates have two choices here in order to be considered for the selection process. They must either meet the requirements for PIBM's internal entrance exam or the institute will accept their results from other national entrance exams, such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH-CET, and PMAT.

Yes, PIBM's PGDM programme is AIU approved. This means that the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) offered by PIBM is considered equivalent to a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree for the purpose of admission to higher studies.
