NIEM is a very good and renowned institute for event management. It would be better if you go for MBA over PG Diploma in event management.

Now admission procedure has started, I guess. You can apply through official process or you can also apply for institute seats.

Civil engineering course is not provided in VIT, Pune.

Management institutes do have such courses.
The best places for the same are Hyderabad and Bangalore.

If you haven't got campus placement already then it is quite difficult to get a job with just a graduation degree. I would suggest you to go for PG courses.
Also, you can go for Bank PO exams, CGL etc.
